Kanako Shigami is one of the the primary protagonists of B-Daman AgeX, and a protagonist in B-Daman Years. She is Neo Zion's Ace B-Shot, having foiled Hagataki (in Fireblast) planned world conquest with the help of her brother Samuru Shigami.

Skills and AbilitiesEdit

Despite appearing like a normal girl, Kanako is an Newtype. Like other Newtypes, her abilities include a sort of spatial awareness, precognition, and the ability to predict the movements of Zion.

Samuru ShigamiEdit

Kanako and Samuru have a complicated relationship. Asagi tends to get easily annoyed by Kanako's cheerful attitude, however, this relationship is not as destructive as his anger towards Riki. Though they can be at odds sometimes, Izuru sees Samuru as a good friend, and a trustworthy ally in battle. This trust was well placed when Samuru revealed that the two are siblings and he's the Prince of Zion. Even though the news makes Samuru uneasy, Kanako is happy to know the truth about his brother, making him call Samuru "Onii-san".

Kamon GodaiEdit

Kamon also seems to show a romantic interest in Kanako, seeing her as a honorable and kind person. Though Kanako doesn't seem to notice, she looks after him in the same way, seeing him as a cheerful friend.

In fact, Kamon can be one of the reasons Kanako remained unchanged for most of the series. After a fight with Hagataki left Kanako's personality distorted, a cake made by Aona caused him to momentarily go into a coma and wake up as if he never went to fight in the first place.

Shiro SakamotoEdit

Of all of her love interests, Shiro was possibly Kanako's most complex primarily due to their complex histories. They shared a complicated bond that resemble a love/hate relationship. Kanako's character poem stated how she had fallen in love with him and how she was willing to follow him to hell had Shiro admit any form of feelings for her even if it was a lie. Aware, that it was precisely the reason why he refused to say anything to her after their kiss, Kanako smiled at his photo she kept, choosing to remember him as not the hero but as the man she loved.
